PM 101: using easy and common PM templates and forms in projects
Training PM 101: using easy and common PM templates and forms in projects is designed to help Project Manager managers can readily apply the concepts and practices described in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK ® Guide) – Sixth Edition Guide to their projects and use Project Management templates and forms tailoring to their needs.
The PMBOK ® Guide identifies that subset of the project management body of knowledge generally
recognized as good practice. “Good practice” does not mean that the knowledge described should always be applied uniformly to all projects.
Tailoring is necessary because each project is unique; not every process, tool, technique, input, or output identified in the PMBOK® Guide is required on every project. Tailoring should address the competing constraints of scope, schedule, cost, resources, quality, and risk. The importance of each constraint is different for each project, and the project manager tailors the approach for managing these constraints based on the project environment, organizational culture, stakeholder needs, and other variables.
This training will assist project managers in applying information presented in the PMBOK ® Guide to project documentation. It will also provide an easy way to apply good practices to projects.
